GESTE Engineering continues to grow in the field of digitalization and BIM. As part of our internal development plan, an introductory training course in BIM and in-depth training in Revit kicked off on Tuesday. The training will take place over 4 days at our offices in Renens, with the participation of a large part of our team of design technicians.
Revit software is used to model a number of key railway engineering trades. Other software is also used at GESTE, depending on technical requirements. Within the framework of Revit, our modelers will acquire specific knowledge useful to the railway industry, such as the production of parametric objects, the application of shared parameters and export to IFC (Industry Foundation Classes).
GESTE's technical designers are already trained in the specific fields of railway engineering. Now they're stepping up their skills to apply their technical knowledge as BIM modelers.
We would like to thank Cadschool, Matthieu Glietsch and, in particular, Arnaud North for having built this training course completely tailored to our needs in railway engineering. This training represents a first step in the development of our BIM modelers, and is in line with GESTE's commitment to quality and innovation.
