The innovative project to renovate the La Presta railway bridge, located on line 221 of the Transports Publics Neuchâtelois SA (transN), has been successfully completed.
GESTE Engineering contributed its expertise as a BAMO #TECHFER (railway engineering) and specialist in railway tracks, contact lines and cables, working on the project from the design phase through to completion. Excellent collaboration with the engineering firm OPAN concept SA, responsible for the civil engineering works and transN as the project owner, as well as Arnold AG, as BAMO cables, ensured the successful completion of the project.
The techfer work, entrusted to the company LAURENT MEMBREZ S.A., focused on the renewal and compliance of the railway superstructure and cable infrastructure. The project involved removing the expansion device, completely renewing the superstructure and cable infrastructure, bringing the guide rails into compliance, replacing two level crossings and optimising the route. All this was carried out as part of a comprehensive cluster project lasting several weeks.
The environment was also a key focus of the project thanks to collaboration with the firm Prona Romandie SA. Specific devices, including deflectors for amphibians, were installed to facilitate and secure the movement of these species around the site.
