As part of the Bm3* project (Bauen mit Dritten) carried out by SBB CFF FFS, 4 turnouts and 2 sidings were renewed at Sierre station.

The turnouts were replaced in a 56-hour "Operation Coup de Poing (OCP)" over a weekend, while the sidings were renewed in a 4-day "No Track All Day" phase.

In total, more than 700 m of superstructure was treated, 1500 m3 of ballast renewed and 120 m of BaFix system installed.

GESTE Engineering carried out the mission of Local Works Management and Assistance to the General Works Management on behalf of SBB CFF FFS. Our teams acted as intermediaries between the client and the works company, Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, and were responsible for monitoring and controlling the track and contact line works.
